CASA Advocates address rising child abuse cases in Bell County

Every day thousands of children live as victims of child abuse and that includes a staggering number of kids right here in Bell County. According to the Texas Department of Family Protective Services, in 2020 alone they saw over 250,000 alleged victims of child abuse or neglect. CGI Solutions Duffle Bag Donation

Stephanie Gonzales, a CASA Advocate for CASA of Bell & Coryell Counties,  organized a drive with the employees of her workplace, CGI Solutions.  With the help of the employees and Stephanie’s amazing efforts, they donated 50 large duffle bags for the children assigned to CASA.  It is heartbreaking for these children to leave their homes… Read more »

A world of difference: Mateo’s story

Fourteen year old Mateo spent 10 years in foster care and lived in at least 10 different placements before he was appointed a CASA volunteer.
