CASA recently received a generous $2000 community grant fund donation from Walmart in Temple (W. Adams Ave store) as part of their re-grand opening festivities held on Friday, August 9th. Store Manager, Norma Perez, made the presentation to CASA at the grand opening event. The store has undergone a major renovation since last spring.
The CASA staff and board member Bryant Ward were on hand to meet with Walmart officials and accept the big check from Perez and other Walmart managers. CASA was one of 7 local non-profits to receive gifts at the event. Perez spoke highly of the services that CASA provides in the community and mentioned the great work that CASA volunteers do with children in the foster care system during the program that attracted several hundred guests and local dignitaries.
CASA is grateful for the partnership with Walmart in Temple and other locations throughout Bell County. Walmart has been a top donor through the community grant program and has also assisted CASA with donations to the CASA Christmas campaign, and other volunteer events. If your company has a community grant program, please consider becoming a donor to CASA so that we can continue recruiting more volunteers to serve more children.
