Celebrating 10 Years of CASA of Bell and Coryell Counties
In 2025, CASA of Bell and Coryell Counties proudly celebrated ten years of standing beside children when they needed someone most. Ten years of listening. Ten years of showing up. Ten years of making sure that children who have experienced abuse or neglect were not alone in a system that can feel overwhelming and uncertain.
When CASA first opened its doors, we were fueled by a simple but powerful belief: every child deserves to be seen, heard, and protected. What began as a small group of passionate advocates has grown into a strong, deeply rooted presence in Bell and Coryell Counties—made possible entirely by the generosity, compassion, and commitment of our supporters.
Over the past decade, hundreds of volunteers have stepped forward to become Court Appointed Special Advocates, dedicating countless hours to building trust with children, attending court hearings, advocating in classrooms and case meetings, and standing beside them during life’s most difficult moments. These volunteers are not just advocates—they are lifelines, role models, and steady sources of hope.
None of this would be possible without our community. Our donors, sponsors, judges, child welfare professionals, local businesses, and partners have believed in this mission from the very beginning. Your support has allowed us to grow, to train more volunteers, and to reach more children. In the last three years alone, our volunteer base has grown by 77%, a testament to the incredible heart of this community.
Today, more than 1,000 children in our service area still need a CASA advocate. While we are currently serving around 300, we know that every number represents a real child—each with their own story, fears, dreams, and need for stability. Our work is far from finished.
This 10-year anniversary is more than a celebration of longevity. It is a celebration of lives changed. It is a tribute to every volunteer who has sat on the floor playing with a nervous child, every donor who gave generously, every staff member who worked late nights, and every community member who shared our mission.
Most of all, it is a celebration of the children who have found safety, permanency, and hope because someone chose to care.
As we look ahead to the next decade, we do so with full hearts and deep gratitude. Thank you for believing in this mission. Thank you for believing in our children. And thank you for walking beside us every step of the way.
Here’s to ten years of advocacy—and to a future filled with even more hope.
