CASA of Bell and Coryell Counties is excited to announce the addition of Birdie Jones to our Board of Directors. Birdie joins us with an impressive background in civil litigation and corporate law, currently serving as an in-house corporate attorney for Texell Credit Union in Temple, Texas. Her experience and expertise will be invaluable in advancing our mission to advocate for the best interests of children in our community.
In 2023, Birdie made significant contributions as a grant-funded staff attorney for Lone Star Legal Aid’s Eviction Right to Counsel project, demonstrating her commitment to providing legal aid to vulnerable populations. Her extensive academic background includes degrees from Baylor University, Dallas Baptist University, Texas Southern University, and Loyola University Chicago, showcasing her dedication to legal education and advocacy.
Birdie is also actively involved in community service. She has held leadership roles such as Vice President of Community for the Junior League of Bell County and President of the Waco Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Her focus on initiatives that strengthen families and communities aligns perfectly with CASA’s values and goals.
Outside of her professional and community commitments, Birdie enjoys creative hobbies, traveling, and listening to people’s stories, which reflects her deep interest in understanding and supporting others. She and her husband are proud parents of two children, and they enjoy being actively involved in their community.
We are thrilled to have Birdie Jones join our board, and we are confident that her skills and passion will significantly contribute to our efforts to support and advocate for children in foster care. Please join us in welcoming Birdie to the CASA family and in looking forward to the positive impact she will bring to our organization.
