We are thrilled to announce that CASA of Bell and Coryell Counties recently swore in seven new advocates on August 1, 2024. This exciting event marks a significant milestone for our organization as we continue to grow our team of dedicated volunteers committed to advocating for the best interests of children in foster care.
The swearing-in ceremony was conducted by Judge Cornish of the Centex CPS Court, who graciously welcomed our new advocates into their crucial role. Judge Cornish emphasized the importance of their work and the positive impact they will have on the lives of the children they will serve.
These new advocates have completed a comprehensive training program designed to prepare them for their critical role in supporting children through the court system. Their training included learning about the child welfare system, understanding the unique needs of children in foster care, and gaining the skills necessary to effectively advocate in court and in the community.
With this formal swearing-in, the advocates are now ready to be assigned to cases where they will work to ensure that each child they represent has a voice in the court process and that their best interests are considered in all decisions. The addition of these new advocates will allow us to reach more children in need and provide the individualized support that CASA is known for.
We are incredibly proud of these new advocates for their commitment to making a difference in the lives of children. Their willingness to volunteer their time and energy reflects a deep dedication to our mission of ensuring every child has a safe and permanent home.
Please join us in welcoming our new advocates to the CASA family! We look forward to seeing the positive impact they will have in our community.
Thank you to all our supporters, volunteers, and staff who make our work possible. Together, we are creating brighter futures for children in foster care.
