We are delighted to share the wonderful news of a recent collaboration that has brought immense joy and dignity to the children we serve at CASA of Bell and Coryell Counties. On June 18, 2024, the American Legion Unit 133 in Belton, TX, donated over 70 pieces of luggage to CASA of Bell and Coryell Counties and Garden of Hope – Central Texas. This incredible gesture ensures that the children in foster care have proper bags to carry their personal belongings, replacing the often-used trash bags and providing a sense of respect and care.
The American Legion Unit 133 has long been a pillar of support and service within the Belton community. Their mission to support veterans, their families, and the broader community is truly commendable. This latest initiative, in partnership with the Garden of Hope, exemplifies their dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need. You can learn more about their ongoing efforts at ALA 133.
The donation of these 70 pieces of luggage not only provides practical assistance but also symbolizes the community’s collective effort to ensure that every child feels valued and respected. It is through such partnerships that we can continue to provide the necessary support and advocacy for the children we serve.
On behalf of CASA of Bell and Coryell Counties, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the American Legion Unit 133. Your generosity and compassion have made a significant difference in the lives of our children, offering them a sense of stability and dignity during challenging times.
Thank you for standing with us and for your unwavering support of the foster children in our community. Together, we can continue to bring hope and comfort to those who need it most.
