TXB convenience stores recently provided a check for $1,000 to CASA of Bell and Coryell Counties. TXB owns a number of stores operating as Kwik Check locations in the central Texas area. They are in the process of re-branding all stores to the new “Texas Born” image and TXB logo.
TXB annually hosts the Doyce Taylor Memorial McCraw Oil/Kwik Chek Golf Tournament and Fishing tournament each year. The events in 2021 were held at Tanglewood Resort in Pottsboro. The golf tournament is in its 25th year while the fishing tournament was held for the 4th year last spring. All totaled since the inception of the golf tournament, approximately $682,000 has been raised by TXB for local agencies that included CASA.
Sherry Capehart is the coordinator of events for TXB and made the check presentation to CASA Executive Director Kevin Kyle last week. While presenting the tournament proceeds, Capehart expressed her appreciation for the services CASA provides to area children. “We truly value CASA and we are glad that we can contribute to the local office that impacts children who have been abused and neglected. Working together – we can make a change, one child at a time” stated Capehart.
Kyle added that “donations such as this gives us the ability to continue increasing the number of children we serve. The need is great especially during the holiday season and we are proud to have the support of a great local company such as TXB” Kyle said.
CASA wishes to thank TXB/Kwik Check for their generosity once again this year. If your company or organization would like to help CASA make a difference in the lives of almost 2,000 children in need in Bell and Coryell Counties, please call (254)774-1881 or email casa@casabellcoryell.org.
