Swearing-In Ceremony with the Judge
CASA Pre-Service Training consists of 17 hours of classroom training and 13 hours of home learning assignments, totaling 30 hours of training. This training is spread over 6 weeks with afternoon and evening sessions available. New recruits must also complete background checks and 3 hours of CPS courtroom observation. In order to maintain eligibility to be sworn in as a Court Appointed Special Advocate, new recruits must successfully complete the screening process, 30 hours of pre-service training, and 3 hours of CPS courtroom observation no later than Monday, June 24, 2019.
