CASA of Bell and Coryell Counties Among 10 New CFE Programs

Texas CASA recently announced that 10 more local CASA programs across the state of Texas will be joining the CFE initiative beginning in the Fiscal Year 2020. With these additions, CFE will be at various stages of implementation at a total of 41 local CASA programs and their local CPS offices – representing about 100 Texas counties and 57% of the statewide CASA network!

CFE began in 2015 as a family finding and engagement partnership between CASA and DFPS that recognized the need for, and benefit of, more supportive connections in a child’s life. It is built around the fact that children have many blood relatives and other important people that can be identified and located, and engaged with a case at its inception. Texas CASA’s goal is to implement CFE in the full CASA network, and thanks to their hard-working and passionate CFE team, they are on track to do so by 2023. Please see below for the list of local CASA programs beginning CFE in the coming year.
